K-rail in canton Aargau (fiction)
K-rail is a fictional traffic project, which should renew the regional public traffic in canton Aargau in Switzerland. It is similar like a “S-Bahn”, but it has a stronger geometry. The goal is, that every community has an own railway-station and there would run every 10 minutes a train. The trains of several lines always meet at the same minute in the knot-stations, so that changing trains is very effectively. For this system the canton would have to construct many new railway-lines. There- fore the project is not realistic.
